Deputies in one Florida county say a man kept calling them multiple times this weekend – to report his roommate for allegedly stealing $20 worth of his marijuana.
The Pasco Sheriff’s Office posted videos of Deputy Zalva explaining the drug theft complaint on Twitter.
“The guy’s calling in saying his roommate stole his weed– $20 worth,” Zalva said. “And he’s upset, so he keeps calling 911.” “I called him to let him know not to call the sheriff’s office to report his drugs.”
Recreational marijuana use remains illegal in Florida.
A sheriff’s office spokesman says no charges were filed against the caller.
Sheriff’s office communications director Kevin Doll said Tuesday they just wanted the man to stop calling about the stolen weed.
