Monster marijuana plant found in Gold Coast hinterland

A monster marijuana plant has been found on a property at Mt Tamborine in the Gold Coast hinterland after a tip-off by a member of the public.

The 3.6 metre mature plant is among the tallest local police have ever seen.

It was among 50 plants found camouflaged at the property that police methodically removed, one-by-one.

A 35-year-old man has been charged with a range of offences, including possessing a dangerous drug.
