MoonRocks are probably the strongest, most potent form of marijuana in the world. Some people estimate that properly made moonrocks have a THC concentration of just over 51%. If you can infuse all that THC into your moonrocks brownies, you’ll have some seriously mind-blowing edibles on your hands.
1: Make Your MoonRocks
Here’s what you’ll need for this step:
- 1/8 of bud
- hash oil

Essentially, you’ll be taking a nug—the frostier the better—covering it in hash oil, then rolling it around in a nice coating of kief.
Once your moonrocks have finished drying, you’re ready to move on.
2: Make MoonRocks Cannabutter
This is what you need for Part 2:
- 1/8 of moonrocks
- knife and cutting board
- slow cooker
- 2 sticks of butter
1: Cut the MoonRocks
OK, to get all that potent THC out of the moonrocks and into the butter, you need to be careful when handling your moonrocks. So that you don’t lose any of the kief that’s covering the outside of the nug, don’t use a grinder. Instead, very carefully cut your moonrocks into small pieces using a sharp knife and a cutting board. The cutting board will collect any kief that falls off in the process.
2: Melt butter in slow cooker
Ideally, we suggest using 2 sticks of butter for every 1/8 of moonrocks. If you don’t have quite that much, you can probably get away with a little less.
Assuming you’ve got an eighth of moonrocks, place two sticks of butter into a slow cooker and turn it to low. Wait for the butter to completely melt.
3: Add MoonRocks
Once the butter’s melted, add your chopped moonrocks. Don’t forget any kief that may have fallen off during the chopping process.
4: Slow cook
Let the mixture cook on low for 8 hours.
5: Strain and cool
After 8 hours, turn off the slow cooker. While the mixture cools, carefully place a cheesecloth over a bowl or other container.
When the butter-moonrocks mixture has cooled enough to handle it, carefully pour it into the cheesecloth and strain out all the chunks of bud.
Place the strained butter into the refrigerator to cool and solidify.
3: Make Your Moonrocks Brownies
- 1/2 c. moonrocks butter, melted but not hot
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 c. cocoa powder
1: Prepare ingredients
Preheat the oven to 350 F. Lightly grease a 9-by-9 baking pan.
2: Make batter
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and cocoa powder.
In another bowl, whisk together your moonrocks butter and eggs.
Add the egg mixture to the dry ingredients. Stir until just moistened.
3: Bake brownies
Pour the mixture into the baking pan and bake for 25 to 35 minutes. The brownies are done when you can poke a toothpick into the center and it comes out clean.
Remove from oven, let cool, and cut into 16 squares.
