Whether you are reading this article because you are smoking for the first time or for the millionth time, it pays to understand your levels of being high for a better weed experience. From euphoria to deep thoughts, everyone can relate to these stages of being super, super high.
The ride begins with stage one, feeling buzzed. In case anyone needs clarification, buzzed is the sensation that lies somewhere in between “sober” and “high”. Depending on your tolerance, feeling buzzed may come after one hit, or it could take a few extra. Being buzzed will probably make you feel somewhat more connected with the world. Colours might be brighter, music more melodic, and an increased feeling of overall relaxation might accompany those hits.
You’ve probably smoked a joint or two to yourself, or you’ve been getting to know your pipe for a couple of hours now. It’s starting to feel like the force of gravity is increasing exponentially, and you’re probably feeling like it’s finally time to be seated. Waves of euphoria are probably washing over you, and your senses are extremely heightened. You might even be entering early stages of disassociation when you are high. This is not a stage for making important life decisions or commitments.
Some time during this stage of things, you’ll be overcome with a powerful, almost palpable, sense of euphoria. You’ll probably lean close to your friend and squeal, “Dude, I’m so high!” You’ll collapse back into the couch and just melt away. All of your worries will have disappeared. Everything will be right with the world.
During this stage, you’re thinking about things that you’ve never even thought to think about. You’re considering things you’ve never even thought to consider. You find yourself engaging with your friends in deep discussions about the infinite fabric of the universe and the very nature of reality. You are a genius. Everyone knows that.
This stage is when you’re experiencing something similar to the beginning stages of mushrooms or LSD. You’ve entered the zone of being incapable of hiding the fact that you are baked. There’s no point trying to hide it at this point. This is the stage to explore, whether it’s your physical reality or your consciousness. The veil has been lifted!
You are suddenly so insatiably famished you feel like you could eat an elephant. You start indiscriminately ripping open bags of Cheetos and Sour Straws, mixing them together, and stuffing your face. When the fridge is empty, you turn to the cupboards. You assemble a bizarre peanut butter, fluff, popcorn sandwich and eat it without care. Everything is so delicious you wonder how the whole world isn’t obese. Now that you’ve stuffed your face like a little ripened piglet, it’s obviously time to repeat the whole process over again. Once again, everything is right with the world and you are a simple vessel of happiness.
After an eventful day of getting buzzed, high, stoned, tripping out, or all of the above, you’ll most likely be tired and ready for a good night’s sleep. You will probably feel happy and content, and maybe even accomplished if you’ve had a highly productive stoned adventure.
