Do you ever get a case of the Mondays? Do you wake up every morning and wonder why you’re working in a job you hate? If this sounds like you, you should consider quitting your dead-end job and working for the ever-growing cannabis industry instead.
The cannabis industry is one of the fastest growing industries in the world right now. This is especially the case in the United States, where cannabis is legal for medical use in over half the country and eight more states are putting cannabis on the ballot this fall. There are always new dispensaries popping up, and advancements in cannabis technology have led to a boom in labs that develop new concentrates and edibles. This is also an industry that one can say is probably recession proof, as people like to indulge in mind altering substances more when their lives are not going so well. The medical cannabis industry in particular, is blossoming quickly, as more research comes out about the benefits of medical marijuana.
Cannabarista is this decade’s hottest job. It’s also your dream job. You’ve probably thought about becoming a budtender, or cannabarista if you prefer, once or twice. Of course you have, who hasn’t. Cannabarista is quickly becoming one of the most sought after jobs in the cannabis industry, if not of all time. If you have a passion for pot, and you live somewhere where it is legal, then cannabarista is your dream job.
You Get Paid To Know About Cannabis
What could possibly be better than being paid to have extensive knowledge of thousands upon thousands of strains of cannabis? Conducting “research” on the different strains of cannabis is probably something that you do in enough of in your spare time for free, so you might as well be paid for it. The more you know about cannabis, the higher (ha) you’re likely to advance up the corporate chain. Eventually you might even own your own dispensary.
Super Chill Work Environment
Perhaps one of the best things about working as a cannabarista is that the work environment is super chill. For one thing, the people that you work with are probably pretty happy to come to work, which makes for a much more positive work environment. Also, the customers that come into dispensaries are probably in general in a much better mood than the people who frequent fast food restaurants and other retail establishments. This is not just because they’re high, but that probably helps.
You Get To Help People
Having a job where you get to help people is definitely rewarding, and I’d imagine that it’s even more rewarding when you feel passionate about what you’re doing. As a cannabarista, you get to help customers pick out the right strain to fit their needs. One of the best things about the job, I’m told, is when customers come back and they tell you how well a particular strain worked for them, and how grateful they are to you for helping them out. What could possibly feel better than that?
It Pays Decent Money
Cannabarista actually pays better than a regular barista. One of the reasons that people are vying to work in the cannabis industry is because there is potentially a lot of money to be made. Sure, there are low paying jobs like bud trimming, but it’s pretty easy to advance to a higher paying job once you have the experience. You’d definitely be making more money than you are at the crappy drive through job that you have, and you’d love your job.
It’s A Legitimate Career Choice
A decade ago the idea of being a bartender, but for weed was unthinkable. If you wanted to have a career involving anything to do with cannabis, chances were you were going to end up engaging in some illegal activities. Now, with the cannabis legalization movement gaining ground across the world, more and more people are trying to get in on the cannabis industry.
